To Catch A Thief: Le Stuff’s Definitive Location Guide to Alfred Hitchcock’s Classic Film

“Dirk’s south of France blog “Le Stuff”, which is principally concerned with Hitchcock locations, is highly recommended.”
Jean Buchanan (as written in the author’s acknowledgements of her book “Mr Dodge, Mr Hitchcock, And The French Riviera: The Story Behind To Catch A Thief”)

“‘Definitive’ is an understatement. The range and depth of information
about To Catch a Thief presented here is amazing. Grace and Cary and Hitch
and Dave would certainly be impressed. Le Stuff definitely knows his
stuff.”
–Randal S. Brandt, A David Dodge Companion

“As I couldn’t find any hint on the internet, it might be that you are the one person in the world who solved the mystery of the picnic scene location….”
–Goetz Marx, Producer, Insignia Film Company – Wiesbaden, Germany

“If you can’t get to the South of France to follow the To Catch a Thief trail in person, Le Stuff provides the next best thing.”
–Jean Buchanan

“Bravo, Le Stuff!  Every area that has a history of movie location shooting should have someone like you to document where it all happened.”

  2. Are there any organized tours of “To Catch a Thief” sites in Cannes/Monoco?
    i am visiting next June.

    Kathy

    • Hi Kathy. There are no organized tours that I’m aware of but it’s something I’ve been mulling over for some time now. I think a TCAT tour on the French Riviera is a great idea! Feel free to contact me when you’re in France and I’ll steer you in the right direction. Very best,

  3. hello! I will be heading to cannes in june and wanted to know if there are any tours for the to catch a thief film? please let me know.
    Thanks Carolyn

    • Hi Carolyn and thanks for your question! I’m not aware of any tours for TCAT unfortunately. I have always thought it would be a great idea. When in June will you be in Cannes?

  4. Year after year people are still thrilled to see where parts of this movie have been made in the French Riviera and it’s always a thrill for me for them to see it.
